Meena Bagh Ratnari is a farmstead in the middle of a bustling Permaculture orchard. It has the 4-bedroom Bungalow with the sunroom, attic, hall kitchen which accommodates over 12 people. Doghri, a two bedroom luxury cottage is the latest addition to Meena Bagh Ratnari.
Meena Bagh Ratnari is far from the madding crowd of Himachal’s hill towns (74kms from Shimla ). It is suitable for those looking for seclusion, tranquility, nature and space (both indoors and outdoors) and the surreal experience of living in an apple orchard. All meals are on a la carte basis.
The Bungalow has 4 bedrooms with attached bathrooms. Two bedrooms on the first floor are encircled by large lounging and living areas with single beds and settees to accommodate more people. The other two bedrooms are on the ground floor. There is also an attic room and a hall with a TT table and Fuseball. The Bungalow is great for family get togethers, reunions, parties etc. There is a sun-room with skylights adjoining the kitchen. One can bask in the sun here throughout the day. The sunroom also has a fireplace.
Doghri- is a few steps below the Bungalow. It has two large rooms sharing a living/ dining area. Doghri is built for luxury with brass electrical and bathroom fittings, a large 65 '' smart TV. The bathrooms are heated , have a stand alone bathtub with a mountain view.
Because Meena Bagh Ratnari is in the middle of an orchard, one has to walk about 150 meters through the apple orchard to reach it from the road.
Meena Bagh Ratnari also has an Observatory, housing India's largest pvt. owned telescope. This is the highest private observatory with a Brotle scale of 2. ( Kindly book your sky-gazing session during the time of your booking)
Meena Bagh Ratnari farmstead has has six different farm- animals including cats, one Pahari dog, two sheep , a brood of chicken, flock of ducks and Angora rabbits. The cats and the dog can enter your rooms if you leave them open.
(There is also an option of booking just two rooms or a single room in The Bungalow . When you book a single or two rooms we offer our garden level unit called the Log Cabin. It has two rooms side by side separated by a small porch. The rooms here have inner old Himachali stone-mud walls and outer wood panelled walls. This is suitable for couples or solo travellers. The guests booked here have access to the Orchards and the garden like all guests but not to the upper floor bungalow including the the Sun-Room. The tariff of a single room here is apron 6500 per day on EP plan.

Property and Cancelation Policies :
Cancel within 7 days of your trip and the reservation is non-refundable.
Partial payments are refundable only if cancellation is done one month before the check in date.
Please remember we have limited accommodation therefore we have to keep our cancellation policy non-negotiable.
In the eventuality of a landslide, snow, or other natural disasters that makes reaching Meena Bagh Ratnari impossible we can always postpone your reservation.
We would not however be able to issue a refund if the cancellation is done within 7 days of the check in
Terms and Conditions
Covid-19 Guidelines :
1) Covid-19 negative certificate from a certified lab, not later than 96 hours is mandatory for booking in Meena Bagh Ratnari.
2)You have full access to the Meena Bagh Orchard, the lawns and the farms , an area of over 14 bighas. However during the duration of your stay you would not be able to venture outside to the main road, or the forest where there is a risk of meeting locals. The caretaker will show you the Meena Bagh boundary on arrival.
3) There will be extra bed-linen, towels etc kept in your room for the duration of your stay. There will be no room-service (changing linin, food-beverage orders etc) or any other task by which physical distancing is compromised.
4) For mutual safety, we would not expect you to sit in the sunroom- wear masks in the Sunroom/ kitchen while our staff is present there to prepare meals.
5)Kindly do not enter the kitchen area (open fridge/shelves/microwave etc)
6)Kindly ensure you have taken everything from your car as you wont be able to make trips to the car once parked on the main road.
7)Kindly ensure that everyone including kids is wearing masks on arrival and departure. Kindly do not linger on the main road (for photos etc) during departure or arrival.
(Please remember you are coming to a remote area and a Green-zone. Hope you wil appreciate that for your safety and ours, we have to follow the Covid-19 guidelines strictly.
Kindly do not venture into the orchard without supervision or light any fire in the orchard or compound.Kindly bring back your trash if you go picnicking or trekking.No loud noise; honking or music, which may disturb the locals will be appreciated.Ratnari is a prosperous but closed society.
